The kit was fine for the purpose but over kill.  No need for the connecting rod.

An option for the rebuild kit should be the piston ring and cylinder sleeve.  That "kit" would solve many rebuild issues and not have the extra cost and hardware.

I got this compressor from work because it would not build pressure and they were throwing it away. I took the compressor head apart and found the connecting rod had broken at the top. I ordered the rod and cylinder wall rebuild kit and put it back together. It’s works great now!
