This will prevent your compressor from burning up or blowing thermal overload ( in case your pressure switch does not turn off compressors at rated PSI.

Applications & Features:
  • High Temperature 1/4" NPT Brass Body 205PSI Max Safety Valve.
  • Suitable with 175PSI to 180 Max Pressure systems. Can be used with 145/175 PSI Pressure switches.
  • This safety valve is non-adjustable type.
  • It can be used with all steel & Aluminum Tanks.
  • Viair compressor with Max Psi of 175 are suitable with this safety valve
Note: Do not use this safety valve with 200 PSI Max Pressure systems. Check your compressor Max Psi along with the On/OFF on Pressure switch before buying this safety Valve.

Don’t know if it relieves pressure as it’s supposed to as my pressure switch controls the pressure, but well made and does not leak, in for price of mind.
